ZeRO is now running version 0.425. This article covers releases 0.420–0.425.

Fixed from your reports

  • Weapon skills no longer stop auto-attack (report #16). Bash, Mammonite, Double Strafe, Envenom, Sand Attack, Cart Revolution, Stone Fling and Arrow Repel on the monster you are attacking keep the attack going — no need to click it again, as in original RO. After Arrow Repel (1.5 s cast) the attack resumes on the same target. Magic still stops auto-attack, as before.

Refining with enriched ore

Blacksmiths (Hollegrehen in Prontera, Aragham in Morocc, Fredrik in Alberta) now offer "Refine with enriched ore" when you carry Enriched Oridecon (weapons) or Enriched Elunium (armor). A try costs 2000 zeny and one enriched ore, with better odds — for example, a level 1 weapon to +8/+9/+10: 90/70/30% instead of 60/40/20%, armor to +5: 90% instead of 60%. A failure still destroys the item together with its cards. The button appears only when enriched ore actually improves the chance.

Shops don't sell enriched ore: it comes only as a gift or with a promo code.

Developer answers to your reports

The page of your bug report (your reports are listed on the "Report a bug" page, linked from your account) now has a "Developers’ reply" section: what was wrong, what was fixed and how, what changes for you and in which version. All closed reports already have one.

Client updates are now many times smaller

Even a small update used to weigh 170–190 MB: a build quirk put every map into it each time. Now an update contains only what really changed:

  • moving to 0.425 takes about 4 MB (Windows, macOS) and 4.5 MB (Linux);
  • from the next update on, the client downloads about 4 MB once and after that only the changes — usually tens of kilobytes. Skipped several updates? Still one small file.

Nothing to do on your side: the client updates itself on start, as usual.
