This update opens the western half of the Sograt desert: Sandaruman Fortress, Ant Hell with the MVP Maya, a forest and a swamp. Casting now looks the way it does in classic RO. And here is how we plan to bring in the second jobs.
Comodo fields and Ant Hell
Eight new maps west of Morroc:
- Sandaruman Fortress, east. Serutero lets you in: he stands in the west of Sograt Desert 12, tell him "I'm going there!". A portal leads back.
- Sandaruman Fortress, south. A portal from Sograt Desert 18 and back.
- Sandaruman Fortress, west, Papuchicha Forest border, Zenhai Marsh and Pharos Lighthouse Island. From the fortress the road goes west and north, and from its south side to the island.
- Ant Hell, a two-floor dungeon. Both entrances are in the east of the fortress. Upstairs: Andre, Deniro, Piere and ant eggs. Downstairs: the queen, Maya.

Maya is a level 81 MVP and respawns after 2 hours (± 10 minutes). She has everything the other MVPs have: a tomb with a timer, a reward for the top damage dealer and Convex Mirror. Her drops include Tiara, Safety Ring and the Maya Card.
Besides Maya there are fourteen new monsters: Giearth, Vitata, Gargoyle, Gryphon, Maya Purple, Harpy, Anolian, Alligator, Pest, Mutant Dragonoid, Crab, Shellfish, Aster and Raggler. Some of them have tricks:
- Giearth sets a Sandman trap: step on it and you fall asleep along with everyone nearby.
- Gargoyle shoots Arrow Repel and knocks you back 6 cells.
- Pest turns invisible, Harpy drains blood and silences, Mutant Dragonoid throws Fire Ball.
By level: Ant Hell and Pharos Island are about 15–30, the fortress 30–50, while Harpy, Gryphon, Anolian and Mutant Dragonoid are 60–70, so bring a party. The coast with seals, sea otters and Galapagos (bottom left in the picture) and the town of Comodo itself come in the next part.
RO-style casting
You told us on the forum that the skill name pops up and fades right away when casting, while in RO it stays above the head until the cast ends. Now it does.
- "Fire Bolt !!" stays above the caster for the whole cast.
- The target gets the RO lock-on circle. It closes in on the target and flashes red.
- A magic circle spins under the cast point (Thunderstorm, Safety Wall, Fire Wall).
- An aura in the skill's element colour burns under the caster: fire red, water blue, wind green, holy white, poison purple, everything else yellow.
- Monsters get the same, just without the name, as in RO.

We also fixed bug #24: Blessing and other instant skills could be used on the run. Now your character stops and makes the skill gesture, as in RO.
Second jobs: work has started
We have started on all thirteen second jobs, with their skills and job change quests. The sprites are already drawn.

They will come out in parts, each in its own update:
- Sprites for everyone first. Thirteen jobs, male and female, with weapons and Peco Pecos for knights. You won't be able to change job yet, but you'll be able to see them.
- Archers: the Hunter with traps and a falcon, then the Bard and the Dancer.
- Merchants: the Blacksmith, whose weapons carry their maker's name, and the Alchemist.
- Acolytes: the Priest with Sanctuary and Magnificat, then the Monk with spirit spheres, combos and Asura Strike.
- Thieves: the Assassin with katars and a weapon in each hand, and the Rogue, who copies other people's skills.
- Mages: the Wizard with Storm Gust and Meteor Storm, the Sage with elements and anti-magic.
- Swordsmen: the Knight and the Crusader come last.
Every job gets its own job change quest, and the quest log will guide you through it the way it guides you through the first job exams now. The quests need new maps: the Hunter Guild, the Knight trial hall, the Assassin Guild in the Morroc sands and more. They also need new towns: Al De Baran for Alchemists, Comodo for Bards and Dancers, Juno for Sages. If a town isn't ready in time, the branch's first job comes out first and the second follows with the town.
The Alchemist's homunculi are postponed: they are a big system of their own, and we'll do them later. The Alchemist will arrive with potions, Acid Terror and Demonstration.

For now it's just a picture. The seal in the audience didn't buy a ticket.
We aren't promising dates. Archers come first, and we'll write about every part separately. You can change job from Job 40, but at Job 50 your second job gets 10 more skill points. So if you want the most out of it, don't rush.
Which job do you want first? Tell us on the forum.
Update your client
The update brings new maps, monsters, sounds and effects, about 75 MB. The client will offer to update when it starts. Thanks to everyone who writes to "Report a bug" and on the forum!
