Role
The Knight is the Swordman's second job: melee and lots of HP. Pierce stabs large enemies up to three times, Spear Stab pierces a line and pushes back, Spear Boomerang reaches from afar, Bowling Bash sends an enemy flying into its neighbours. Two-Hand Quicken speeds up attacks with a two-handed sword, Counter Attack answers a hit from the front with a critical strike. Riding a Peco Peco, the Knight walks faster and carries more, and Brandish Spear strikes an area in front. Swordman skills stay.
Job change
- Where: the Knight Order in Prontera Castle; the captain accepts the application.
- Requirements: a Swordman at Job Lv 40 or higher. Spend all skill points on Swordman skills: unspent points don't carry over to the second job, and you can't change jobs while you have them.
- Trophies: Sir Andrew asks for 5 each of
Elder Pixie's Moustache,
Wing of Red Bat,
Orcish Voucher,
Moth Dust,
Reptile Tongue
and
Mane, or 5 each of
Bug Leg,
Heart of Mermaid,
Maneater Blossom,
Clam Flesh,
Old Frying Pan and
Snail's Shell — whichever comes up. At Job Lv 50 no trophies are needed. - Questions: Sir Siracuse asks 8 questions — every answer must be right.
- Combat trial: Sir Windsor takes you to the arena. Three rooms; in each you have 3 minutes to defeat all monsters. One candidate at a time; the rest wait in the waiting room.
- Etiquette: Lady Amy Beatrice asks 10 questions; you need 90 points.
- Patience trial: Sir Edmond takes you to a room full of monsters. Don't touch anyone for 5 minutes — hitting a monster fails the trial.
- Interview: Sir Gray asks two questions about a knight's honour.
- Reward: 7
Awakening Potion and the Knight job — from the captain again.
The quest log walks you through every step and shows who to go to.

Peco Peco
- Rent a Peco Peco from the breeder in Prontera for 2500 zeny — you need Peco Peco Ride.
- Riding, you walk 25 % faster and carry 1000 more, and a spear hits medium monsters as if they were large, but you attack slower. Cavalier Mastery removes the slowdown.
- To get off, use the button in the Equipment window. To ride again, visit the breeder again.
Tips
- The Skills window of a second job has "First" and "Second" tabs.
- Pierce, Spear Stab, Spear Boomerang and Brandish Spear need a spear, Two-Hand Quicken a two-handed sword.
- One-Hand Quicken is in the tree but only works under a Soul Linker's Knight Spirit, which the game doesn't have yet.
- The quest skill Charge Attack comes from Essofeit in the Knight Order: a tour of the 7th squad by the castle,
then 5
Candy Cane and 3
Witherless Rose. - In Prontera Castle the smith Sir Gray makes a
Claymore for knights:
Steel and 74,000 zeny.
